This is not a film for everyone, but it is a film for me. If you don't like cartoon style violence, though, you had better stay away. But if an ironic take on the masked hero (which following all these (horrid) film adaptations is now firmly settled as mainstream culture) appeals to you, and you don't mind a little girl using foul language and performing some truly excellently choreographed violence, you will probably like this. Despite Nicholas Cage being in it.

The little girl saying the C word was actually what made me watch this in the first place :D Coming out here in two weeks, hope to catch it in original for the above reason.


I keep forgetting that Germans dub real films. You have my sincere sympathies. How hard is it to find an original version?

Generally pretty hard. Bigger cities offer some, but even there you gotta search for them.
My luck is my being close to Ramstein US airbase, where a nearby movie theater draws the Americans with showing films in original. But I wonder if a movie like Kick Ass will make the list :P
