Ooh, that's a really good guess.
I wondered why Jacob would warn Non-Locke that somebody was coming if that somebody was coming for Non-Locke. If it was the Losties coming, why would Jacob warn Non-Locke?
But if that somebody was Widmore and he was actually coming for the island, then Jacob was trying to protect the island, not necessarily help or protect Non-Locke.
I can almost wrap my head around it!
