Sounds like Perrin will have a confrontation with Bornhald and Child Byar Matrimony Cauthon Send a noteboard - 24/04/2010 07:55:27 PM
Whitecloaks are obviously like spectres since they kind of look like ghosts in their white cloaks. Galad will probably help mediate the dispute, and we already know that Morgase reveals herself from what Tam told Rand. Spectres are probably more than just thedarkhounds, walking ghosts (like the ghost town where Perrin got his grain), and Perrin's increasing need to seek out Rand.
WCs though, I would expect some of the following: Slayer,
Perrin's storyline has been pretty lame since LoC. It has been a longtime for some true focus on Perrin, and forverer since his highlights in TSR.

I just read the Orbit synopsis of ToM (which I think are generally authentic), and think it wasn't already posted or discussed here:

"The Last Battle has started. The seals on the Dark One's prison are crumbling. The Pattern itself is unravelling, and the armies of the Shadow have begun to boil out of the Blight. Perrin Aybara is haunted by spectres from his past. To prevail, he must find a way to master the wolf within him or lose himself to it for ever. Meanwhile, Matrim Cauthon prepares for the most difficult challenge of his life. The Tower of Ghenjei awaits, and its secrets will reveal the fate of a friend long lost. The end draws near. It's time to roll the dice."

So, apparently the armies of the Shadow attacking the Borderlands will finally start the Last Battle in ToM, although the remaining Seals aren't already completely destroyed yet (some thought this after the strange ripples in KoD).

That Perrin is "haunted by spectres from his past" seems somewhat surprising. Might this just indicate another confrontation with the Whitecloaks (we see Perrin with Galad in TGS), or maybe even with Slayer again in TAR? Or are perhaps the ghosts actually getting dangerous to humans? In any case, interesting that Perrin has to master the wolf to solve this conflict. That Perrin has to achieve this was already shown a bit in TGS. How will this play out, I wonder?

Besides that, basically another confirmation that Mat will free Moiraine from Finnland, like also the cover suggests.
