He was probably the one who dealt with Rand's attack the most competently. He had a well-defended fortress, and a fall-back plan in case that failed (which is the amount of foresight and preparation that few of the other Forsaken have displayed) and a battlefield with ready minions and features that made the terrain itself dangerous.
Aginor did not die from any of Rand's attack, in fact, Rand was trying to get away and Aginor just killed himself via sheer incompetence. He could as easily have killed himself locked up by himself in a closed room.
Lanfear wasn't incompetent or competent, she was just acting stupidly out of blind rage. It is part of her character to have acted thus, which does not make it a smart move.
Semirhage is an incredible string of incompetence from her initial plan to somehow capture Rand at the 'Daughter of Nine Moons' meeting, and then deciding to torture Rand on the spot after Shaidar Haran bailed her out. Seriously the first thing she does after being rescued from her own incompetence is resume incompetence. That is serious devotion to the cause of imbecility. It doesn't matter that the way Rand destroyed her was unpredictable, it was incompetent of her to stay there anyway.
Asmodean seems fairly okay, he was obviously not going along with Lanfear's plan and was instead doing his own thing, essentially the same thing Lanfear herself was.
