It just feels wrong. Sorry. Maybe he gets better as the book goes on, but this is not the same. It's not bad, and it does not detract from the story, but it does not feel the same. I don't think it's going to matter. I still enjoyed reading the chapter, and I have every intention of reading the book the day it comes out, with not one less ounce of anticipation. But it is not RJ's writing, for those of you to whom such things matter.
Brandon Sanderson's writing style does not match Robert Jordan's? What a surprise. We already knew that and that was unavoidable. If Sanderson had tried to match RJ's style exactly, it would have been utterly disastrous. Changing prose styles is something not many authors can do, and changing to match the styles of another author altogether is completely impossible.
What Sanderson could do is change his pacing to match Jordan's, which has been successfully achieved (on the basis of one chapter). Compared to the short, punchy chapters in MISTBORN he's more relaxed and more descriptive here. He can't rail in his preference for dialogue and description that adds to the storyline rather than goes off on some unnecessary clothing-describing tangent, but to be honest that is probably necessary at this point to get the story underway and to its conclusion some time this side of doomsday.
So it doesn't sound like Jordan, but it sounds more like Jordan than Sanderson. More importantly, it doesn't sound like Kevin J. Anderson. As long as that continues, we've come out on top.

Could it be rough draft that Sanderson kept, and Jordan never polished? *NM*

No. It was never meant to be, it never could be and Sanderson never pretended otherwise.
