In EoTW he Travels to escape Ishamael's taunts. He goes to a remote place and says that he can detect no body for miles. He them kills himself.
Do you think that this is a passive power, like Egwene's ability to sense ore and point to it? Or did he weave something?
Rand doesn't appear to have that Talent, and though LTT's Talents or skills only seems to come back to Rand when he needs them, I doubt it's a Talent.
I think this was just an example of RJ's 1990 conception of the heightened senses of very powerful channellers when holding the True Source. Later in the series, this gets brought down to a more believable scale, but that's essentially still there, just not as over the top as sensing everything for miles around themselves. They feel they can make out each individual leaf in a tree (that's a Zen-inspired thing, by the way) and stuff like that.
If asked about that in Q&A, he probably would have come up on the spot with an explanation (like a type of ward he wove to make sure there was no human being around he'd kill by commiting suicide - the weaves were not described at all in that chapter told in Omni, eg: not "he wove a gateway" but "He Travelled"
, though I doubt RJ cared to put anything in the notes about that issue, and with him gone it's pretty much a case of making our own explanation up.

I thought that was supposed to be left up to the reader to decide.

LTT was close to perfect, and he barely managed to eke out a draw with the Shadow.

What flaws? Lews Therin HAD no flaws. It's just you average folk being bitter about perfection...

Bitter is too strong a word. More "conditioned" to search for character flaws in literature...
