Did he go for a remote location to commit suicide to avoid hurting anyone else, or did he just want to be as alone as possible, or a combination?


I think he wanted to go to a remote location to avoid hurting or killing any other people, especially children. He'd just killed his family and closest friends - I think preventing himself from doing the same to others during his suicide was his prime motivation.
