It's Siuan who got Bryne into that scheme against his better judgement, and Egwene likely has guessed that.


She also knew he went after her to protect the other two - Siuan in particular (recall that Egwene knew their real relationship). Besides, Siuan was ordered not to try rescue her. Bryne did not get a direct order and she trusted his judgement. Gawyn has shown he treats her like a child all along. I don't get why she hasn't dumped him yet...
