You do the women channelers too little justice. Lews' plan was almost the same! newyorkersedai Send a noteboard - 16/05/2010 11:08:37 PM
Though you make good points otherwise, of course.
The women's plan wouldn't have just blocked the DO in SG - they intended to use the CK on the DO's forces as well. Nor do I think it was a bad idea.
The good guys were scared because the Dark was gaining power at an accelerated pace after a long stalemate. The Lightside's biggest danger at the moment was the fact that the Dark might just come crashing into them in a short time. Sealing off their master - and possibly the source of their TP as well - can be seen as a good way to (a) slow the present Darkside advance and (b) give them time and opportunity to mop up the un-trapped darkfriends...
I mean, with the CK, they could vaporize any of the DO's forces that couldn't Travel. Who knows what else they could've done with them?...
And remember that LTT's plan was "just" putting a patch over the Bore. So his idea was also to block off the DO. That would've allowed the Light time to fight the Dark's remaining troops...

the women didn't really have any "plan" to speak of. they just thought ltt's plan was too risky, and not for the right reasons either. they simply believed it would open the bore even further.

the closest thing to a "plan" that the women had was to use the CK to erect a mere barrier around shayol ghul in order to slow down or contain, not stop, the DO's effect on the pattern until they could figure it out later kinda thing.

the women's "plan", or lack there of, was nothing but a stalling tactic while the DO's conventional fores ravaged the world.

Yes, it is fitting that women's role was to clean up after the men did all the work. - 29/04/2010 10:59:57 PM 730 Views
