Sure, but that was really a sort of special case where rather than using any evil-force himself, he rather put two opposite evils together and watched them fight it out. I am also not saying its impossible he will do so again. Fain&dagger are still out there and their evil is still anti-DO. It has been suggested that Fain may yet play some role in defeating either the DO or possibly Shaidar Haran.
