If Graendal has passed some vital informations to Aran'gar, it simply makes more sense that Aran'gar will remember in a PoV im ToM her last talk with Graendal before she died, where she told this.
You do realise having Aran'gar remember a meeting with Graendal in TOM is pretty much exactly the same thing as showing this meeting?
All I'm saying is that Aran'gar will get from Graendal the information about Mesaana's identity. It doesn't matter at all to me if we see her meet Graendal and discuss this, or if we get a POV of Aran'gar remembering this meeting and getting this information.
Your "convictions" we won't see Graendal are not very... convincing. Not when it's so obvious the main reason you're convinced Graendal won't be seen again is really that you don't want her to have another POV for you-know-what. We've seen many scenes that have happened before in the timeline in a later book. The beginning of ACOS showed the other POV of Dumai's Wells from Sevana's side. TPOD jumped ahead in Egwene's story line and WH returned to before she travelled to TV. COT showed us full of scenes that had happened before the Cleansing. It's also the first time someone has to split in three a book RJ intended to be one book. We know there will be overlaps, and we know Brandon tried to include in TGS mostly what was pertinent to Rand/Egwene and their themes. There is no way to predict if he will show us more scenes with Graendal or not. The odds there is more of Graendal coming, anything not related to Rand, are 50/50. No more, but no less.
Aran'gar probably is that stupid for plot's sake..
But seriously, if Romanda hadn't put it together, likely no one else had seen the connection to Cabriana and Halima.
But seriously, if Romanda hadn't put it together, likely no one else had seen the connection to Cabriana and Halima. It's more the opposite... if a woman who has not been in the Tower for so many years and who wasn't close to Anayia and Kairen could put it all together, then the odds were very high many Blues have found it odd it's two close friends like Anayia and Kairen who both got killed by that "man", when the other woman in the trio also died in mysterious circumstances a while ago.
It probably was Aran'gar's plan.
That makes absolutely no sense at all!!!!!
Aran'gar made a plan, amd then she tried to undo her own plan.
Very intelligent theory.
That was before Aran'gar was forced to leave the Rebels, though. Like Aran'gar was previously commanded by SH to join the Rebels, it simply makes sense that he gave his "dagger" a new task to spread chaos, after she had to quit that job.
Yeah.... riggght... Aran'gar spread chaos by a proposal that would bring male channellers into the camp and forbid her from channelling safely at any time.
Very brilliant.
No, I think Graendal just knows that Mesaana must be an AS, but not who exactly.
How could Graendal be sure Mesaana is an Aes Sedai unless she's figured out which Aes Sedai she is? She finds Mesaana obvious and easy to read, and her agents in the Tower keep her apprised of Mesaana's doings and plans. How can they do that unless they keep an eye on Mesaana.
The only credible way in which Graendal knows all this without knowing who Mesaana is is if she's got Alviarin under Compulsion. You'd expect Mesaana would have paid attention to that possibility...
By the way, you seem to have missed that Graendal said she found her alliance with Aran'gar and the fact she was involved with the rebels very useful. One more clue Graendal is meddling with the trio/intends to meddle with the trio. A lot of her TGS POV is focussed on the trio, and a lot of Aran'gar's POV in KOD was focussed on the trio. Graendal has been sort of obsessed with the trio and their plans since LOC. She thought about them a lot.
You choose to focus on what Aran'gar said about Rand and Graendal's network you think she wants to use to kill Rand - but a lot of her POV is about Mesaana, wanting to split the trio, Demandred being dangerous, pointing out to Graendal the trio had an alliance while the two of them didn't etc.
With all this set up, it makes a lot more sense to me Aran'gar will stay involved in the AS story line, not reappear god knows where in something else altogether. Even the fact she kept with her a woman who knows the Tower and its affairs well speak in favour of Aran'gar intending to meddle in Mesaana's affairs now.

Mesaana's more likely. There just isn't enough time for it to be the Seanchan, imo *NM*
