In LoC, it's learned that Gitara Moroso sent Luc to the Blight. Note that the placement makes it a possibility for the Little Big Thing of books 4-6. Anyway. Gitara said that the outcome of TG depended on Luc going to the Blight. Luc became Slayer along with Luc, but half of him is still Rand's uncle.

So maybe Slayer makes it all the way to the the big moments in the Last Battle. I'm hoping it's Slayer's blood that ends up on the SG rocks. Beaten by Lan in a sword-battle, Rand will make disparaging comments about him. Then Perrin will tell some wolves to kill him, but the wolves decide to start at the feet and work their way up. In a moment straight out of modern crime television, the good guys will be shouting orders and exposition over his screams...

Or here's another possible idea: through portal stone or gateway, Team Light rushes out to the Last Battle. Well, then the "spilling" could be the sudden appearance of Rand, his half-brother Galad, and Rand's cousin(?) Moiraine would certainly fit. Imagine a SWAT team storming an apartment. I'm think we can include as "Rand's blood" two of his wives (it makes no sense for Min to be there), as well as his "father," Tam. Hell, Elayne might even have the twins on some kind of baby bjorn.

The Aiel and possibly Emond's Fielders could count too.

Also, I'm pretty sure that the never-healing wound is going to pop at some point. TG seems a better time than most. So blood there too, though it's obvious and Rand's said it a dozen times by now.

Thoughts?

This was not an original thought of mine (credit where its due) but it was something I had never considered, and I was curious to see what everyone else could make of it. Any thoughts for or against?

My Simple Thoughts - Palatine

His "blood on the rocks" I've always assumed just means the Aiel.

Rand's "blood on the rocks of Shayol Ghul" - does this mean the Aiel? - 08/06/2010 04:25:05 AM 1036 Views
