But also, I believe the CK was left for him for precisely this reason - to have him use it to destroy the world when he goes balistic, and do Moridin's work for him.

Unfortunately for Moridin, Rand came to his senses at the last minute and destroyed the CK instead. At that point, it was too late to do anything about it.

Of course, now that he is alone and exhausted on top of DM would be a good time to try and capture him...
