Taim is powerful, and the Forsaken do tend to get their butts kicked. Still, as the end draws near, a lot of the restrictions put on them (e.g., DON'T RUN AROUND TEARING THROUGH PEOPLE, MY PETS) will be lifted, and they'll have more chance to wreck shop on people. Of course, they'll be doing it in a world full of many more channelers, so...
Still, remember the two things that distinguish the Forsaken : First (and most important), RJ clearly states that being a Forsaken means that you are considered important enough to swear your oaths to the DO in person at SG. It seems pretty clear that Taim is already on the DO's side, and we've no indication that he swore his oath in person. I would be surprised that any present age DF have done so.
Second, the Forsaken are marked so that they can control shadowspawn. No real indication on that front either, or that Taim would even have much use for them, what with his private army of evil saidin-wielders.
