Could just be a simple trick that all the Forsaken know. Not so much a matter of experience and control, but just, "Oh hey, remember to do [blank] after you channel pure evil."


The problem with that explanation is that if its a simple trick it would presumably have been taught to Taim. I mean going around with a dark halo is not exactly conductive to maintaining the illusion that he is a loyal lightsider.


But I'm not sure I could see the DO giving Taim access to the True Power anyway. I would bet that Taim's Dark Aura is a result of whatever else was contributing to Rand's Dark Aura, and Rand's was strengthened/enhanced by the True Power.


I dunno. It'll be interesting to see what's going on.
