That Lan will die in the series isn't new, but especially based on Min's Viewings and possible foreshadowing. This thought was renewed by me after BS told that ch. 60 of ToM will be especially heart-wrenching and apparently has a hard/sad/dark content.

As far as we know, the Accepted tests aren't really prophetic. The ter'angreal just develops scenes (maybe scanning the memories, experiences and feelings of the person in it), where the novice has to deal with difficult, emotional situations to verify her resolution to become an AS.
