Pedron Niall wasn't a Dark friend. Nor is Tuon. Or Eladia. Or the Rulers of the Borderlands. In fact, most of the world's top level rulers, seem to be at least, on the side of light.


Pedron Niall wasn't really much of an antagonist, not to the main characters at least, he died too soon for that. Tuon isn't a full antagonist either, since she's married to Mat. Elaida was controlled by the head of the Black Ajah. And we don't know enough about the Borderlander Army to know if they are antagonistic. Nor to know that they are free of the Shadow's influence. (And IMO, they almost have to be, to some extent. Why else would they abandon the Blightborder?)

I say that we put the question to Brandon Sanderson.
