NICE! I like it. That being the case, it's also likely that they used Portal Stones to reach other dimensions. The only issue I see is that no matter which planets/dimensions they go to, if the DO is freed in Randland, then he is freed in all. So those that are the strongest would feel duty bound to keep everyone in this dimension and kept people from using the stones and locked down traveling (though I don't know how they would be able to do that).
