I believe it was Thom bending over to grab a bluestone(moiraines) out of a fire. Min seems sad at this and thinks about how Rand would surely fail without a woman dead and gone, she knows this is moiraine and reflects on how it was her only failed viewing. Of course in the next book or two we'll see this happen...
