I think we're missing something because of the golden cord that goes to Rand. I took that as the connection to the eye but maybe it was something more. Obviously, as Ywes said, when Ishy was killed in Tear he was brought back as Moridin and made Nae'Blis so it would be easy to have those connections reforged.

None of that explains the voice that Rand heard and the golden cord that transported him to Tarwin's Gap and gave him acces to Saidin that was untainted if my understanding of the scene is correct.

I was just curious if anyone had any theories involving that as well because it seems to me like that is a huge rafo.


its different than channeling from the source and was dipicted as the golden cord of pure Sadin.

of course it could just be that Jordan had not set all of his "rule" to how channeling worked at this stage but i believe the most obvious answer is probably the correct one here.
