Re: Prologue sample from iBooks Code_Man65 Send a noteboard - 13/09/2010 09:22:29 PM
I just pre-ordered through iBooks. I haven't seen it anywhere else.

iBooks does give a sample, which is the first few pages. It includes a Loial quote from his book "The Dragon Reborn" and it gives the first part of the Lan pov.

Here is a link to the sample portion of the iBooks prologue.

I read it. While normally I like Lan and his willingness to get things done I think he is very much in the wrong on this one. He owes it to Nynaeve to do as he said he would. She knew he would try to get out of it and that is why she visited villages to inform people. Maybe Lan's opinion will change through the rest of the prologue but based on his character up to this point I doubt it. It will most likely be a he has no choice thing or he will realize the borderland rulers have left the blight border empty and he will give in to save lives.
