So, by Mat's first chapter, the news of the Seanchan attack and the reunification of the Tower are already in Caemlyn. Makes sense, since Verin probably didn't spend too long after she met Mat before she went to Egwene.

I had somehow thought there'd be a some time before these other PoV's caught up with Rand and Egwene. But I guess not.
