We just need to face the fact that for some reason, this fictional character has so offended Cannoli that he will gladly twist any of her actions into something with evil intent, or a sign of great stupidity.
I suspect Cannoli exaggerates some of that for humorous effect. I don't care to hazard a guess as to the percentage of how much is exaggerated though.
