I wasn't planning on reading the prologue by itself, either. But after reading some post titles (and clicking on a post with an innocuous title, before the prologue had even been released in parts of the US) it was spoiled for me. So, I went ahead and bought the prologue and read it. Even then, it still wasn't as good because I knew what was going to happen.
