- Aran'gar was discovered by Egwene and friends and had to flee. She was homeless.
- Aran'gar were seen making an alliance with Graendal.
- Aran'gar is residing with her ally while she seeks a new base of power.
Now please do tell... how is this 'incredible'? It's so obvious it hits you like a brick in the head.
It's so Out Of Character for a greedy, non-trusting, self-centered, back-stabbing "Chosen" -who survived years of wicked infighting by excelling at the aforementioned traits- it's beyond me you're even taking those points you mentioned serious.
It's been pressed time and time again ever since when we first saw any Forsaken meeting in TSR untill as late as KoD -in TAR or in the waking world-, that they don't trust eachother for even an inch.
As soon as one shows weakness, the others get ready (or think to themselves) they'd strike out or betray the others. Not even once have we seen kindness or mercy.
Aran'gar was a homeless/ baseless/ useless Chosen, that failed the Great Lord of the Dark. She was ripe for the slaughter/ betrayal or at the very least ripe for abandonment.
The Graendal we know from TFoH through TGS -in third person or her own PoV- would never, even for a second show kindness of any kind.
I think it's really odd.
Etzel has a point.
Why were they there?

And don't forget Graendal's belief that Rand would need to see saidin-woven Compulsion disappear in

No, I object because the whole scene was written in an utterly silly way, as I explained...
