Would never have seen it otherwise... and I almost did pee my pants laughing at the white ajah pic.

Cracked.com, for those who don't know, is the last surviving remnant of the former second-rate Mad Magazine. It posts daily humor articles of varying quality usually structured around some sort of list, and has reader-created content as well, such as photoshop contests, and Topics pages. On the latter, a reader or regular Cracked.com contributer provides at least one (satirical) graphic and a general (skewed) summary of a chosen subject or topic. These range in quality from Rand al'Thor's stand-up routine all the way up to some of the funniest articles on the site. Someone named Kathana has done a Topics Page for Wot. It is not too derisive and shows some intimate familiarity with the series and its fandom, so it can be read by a wotmanic without succumbing the urge to write a blistering rebuttal. And I, of all people, should know.

The authoress herself wrote the following on the site's forum in defense of RJ & accusations of milking the series:

"Speaking as someone who actually knew Jim, I have to say you're incredibly wrong about his reasons for expanding the series. He considered TWoT to be his masterpiece, the epic story he couldn't get out of his head. It was long because he felt the scale of the story demanded that length and detail. He spent the last few months of his life trying to finish the final book and extracted a deathbed promise from his wife, Harriet, that she would find someone to complete it.

You can make a legitimate criticism of the series and it's length. You can complain that he over described the world, introduced too many characters, subplots, etc. That's all fine. But don't accuse him of milking it for money. It wasn't like that. If you ever had the opportunity to hear discuss the series, you'd realize that he was extremely fond of this story, the world and the characters. He wrote this story because he wanted to tell an epic, original fantasy."

So we can give her the benefit of the doubt that the mockery is done out of love.

Enjoy... or, you know, not.
