I don't know why exactly, but new research has also found that men align themselves to their partners cycles by producing more testosteron while their woman is ovulating. (because women find manly men more attractive during their ovulation and therefore are more prone to cheating.)
So I think that just might be human behavior and not female as I thought earlier.

Does anyone know the biological reason? I'd assume it has something to do with pheromones.

And you may not care to know this, but knowing how your cycle stands in comparison to your sister's can be quite useful information. :P
