I've noticed that quote too, and the way I see it is either 1) They always follow the dragon even if he is a darkfriend or 2) since Matt blew the horn and he isn't a DF, they follow the dragon and if a DF blew it then they would follow someone on the shadow side.
I have posted on TGH before and if people don't know the answer they usually make joke responses that ruin your post or they talk about something off topic and ruin your post, so good luck.
