If anything I think he's going to ask Egwene to join the Tower under him which she will not be happy about since it will create a number of nightmares in the form of Romanda and Lelaine. He may also insist that Taim/Logain must be considered her equal with both male and female Channelers being ultimately lead by him.
Here's hoping. But why would she be MAD about this, if she's the good guy and loyal friend to Rand and true ally of the Dragon Reborn that you and the original poster have been claiming?

You know horrible things like that? Why wouldn't she be pissed? This isn't just Churchill saying he'd give the devil a favorable mention in the house of commons after the Soviets got invaded by Nazi Germany. It's as if the Allies had also went to war with the USSR over Finland (as almost happened) and then had to decide to make peace with them to counter the greater threat of Nazi Germany. Of course no one would be happy.
