RJ is primarily an entertainer above all things. His other lesser traits as a philosopher and intellectual have consistently been given a back seat if the plot needs to work. Trends in the story are almost invariably found to be circumstantial, and can be highlighted by posters' inability to show any positive predictive value to this story. Why? Because RJ is a story teller, and while he's influenced by so much and has so much to teach and convey, ultimately he seeks to please the fantasy reader. A poster I used to know once proclaimed this to be the sole driving force of the series, and it becomes more and more valid with each passing addition. If Siuan needed to fly with the One Power, it would happen... and with that sort of revelation people could introduce buzz words such as themes and lessons, but essentially RJ will make it work if he wants it to work, and the philosophy will end there.
