When Perrin walked in on Moiraine combing her hair seductively (or whatever that strange TDR scene was) they swapped identities.

Perrin = Momo. Momo = Perrin. Which nullifies the whole ToG quest, then. "Just leave him in there!"

Small detail from TDR that has never been discussed, for obvious reasons.
