A lot of local independent book stores put TGS out early, so the same thing will probably happen again. Mine was one of them :D

Hopefully it does again. If so I only have 3 days to go.

Before tGS, I called about 50 independent book stores in total (in IL and MA) and, while some of them did have copies on hand, they did not want to sell them until the release date. So, it's mostly a miss from my experience, but you never know, I guess. As for me, I won't be doing this again for ToM, though.
