Why would Perrin tell Mat that Morgase is still alive?
Mat talked to Morgase once, and is friendly, but not friends, with Elayne.
Perrin spent most of how many books? thinking that Morgase was nothing more than a serving girl until she laid the Pronouncement of Doom upon him. Perrin knows Elayne even less than Mat does.
It makes more sense to me that Perrin is going to laugh at Mat marrying the Seanchan Empress more than he's going to bring up something neither of them particularly care about.
