I have to wonder if Rand was using Egwene? He shows up and tells her he is going to break the seals which on the face of it sounds like a bad idea. He does not try to explain why he wants to do t his or that he might have superior knowledge via LTT. He has to know that Egwene is bound to think this is wrong and she is strong willed enough to try to stop him.

Personally I think Rand wanted as many armies/factions at the meeting place as possible. How he could try to organise it all himself but that will tie up a lot of his time. Instead he manipulates Egwene to doing all the work for him in getting every one there.

One last thing. Egwene seems to think she can stop him. How? So what if every single person on the planet tells him not to break the seals. Rand has the last surviving seals and given their state all he has to do is step on them to break them. If he does that what are the rest of the world going to do? Go home in a huff because they are annyoed at him. The last battle is started and they really wont have any choice but to cooperate with him unless someone else fancies their chances at taking the long walk down to the Pit of Dhoom and trying to convince the Dark One to go away.
