I think it is just SOP for the Wise Ones HyogaRott Send a noteboard - 12/11/2010 01:33:29 PM
A woman is ready to take the final test (a trip to Rhuiden) when, after a period of sucessful apprenticeship, she declares herself ready. Why wouldn't the wise ones have one more standard action to "take the temperature" of their apprentice before they are subjected to the past?

When Avi is about to leave, a point is made to tell her NOT to travel to Rhuiden, but to run there, even giving her a starting position for the run (which makes it possible for an intelligent person to figure out where she will stop for the night and encounter her). Maybe the encounter was in TAR, maybe it was real. Regardless, I think is just a standard part of the Final Test to be a wise one.
