Anyway, what I wanted to know was why does Graendal need so many pets/servants who cant think for themselves?

She has sex with them. It's important to her that they are her slaves so that their only concern will be Graendal's pleasure. She's a huge control freak, isn't she.

Didn't she once think that when becoming a Forsaken, she swore to herself that she'd never again deny herself anything. I seem to recall so.
