Like Ishamael was a renowned philosopher, Graendal was a great sage, Semirhage was a healer, Lanfear was a unsurpassed gold-digger

I always saw him as a born leader of sorts, possibly charismatic. I'm not sure what specifically he was, but he obviously had a deep knowledge of the One Power, so maybe a teacher of sorts?
