Egwene has a track record for realizing when she was wrong, accepting that and coming out smarter and better for it. We've seen it most notably with the Wise Ones and T'A'R but most recently with Gawyn and her pushing him away the way that she did.

Rand has had Traveling for quite a long time now and he only now whisks in to talk to Egwene (a lifelong friend and ex-love interest) and he says "Yo Dog, I'm breaking the seals in a month, be there or be square. Peace out my brother." And takes off! He hardly says anything about what he's been up to or even hints at a special meeting for him and her to catch up on. How smart would that be? A midnight meeting in lets say, the Two Rivers in a spot where they used to hide and play kissing games. But nope, thats not good enough for Rand.

Everything stated so far has to do with the Seals needing to hold. There have been whole plots in this series about saving the Seals. And Rand doesn't even want to have a conversation about it, a nice intellectual discussion? If Egwene had acted any different then she would be utterly irresponsible.

But I do see fore thought from Rand on this. I have little doubt that he knew Egwenes reaction and what better way to gather his armies, ready for the LB, get all the Lights minds together to try and figure something out? Further, it gives all these people time to think about what is to come and give them all something to think on, i.e. resealing the Bore, permanently this time.
