2 things shock me (well, shock is a strong word, rather leave me puzzled) :
1) Why did she tell Mat he had to comply with the content of the letter ? Why not just say "open it in 10 days, and do whatever you want". It's not as if Mat would not act on information about a Trolloc invasion in Caemlyn !!
2) Why wasn't the Waygate warded when Rand (and Ashaman Kaldrin (sp?)) warded all Waygates against Shadowspan ? 'Round book 8-9 iirc.

1. Absolutely agreed.
2. Didn't know about it perhaps? Or, alternatively, the wards were taken down. Anything Rand assigned an asha'man to do, a Chosen could easily undo.
