I spent the first third of the book thinking about when we'd find out Asmo's killer, but then got caught up in the story and forgot about that. When I got to the part where Graendal was accused of three Forsaken deaths, I even stopped and thought to myself "Hmm, Mesaana, Aran'gar...who else?" I was too excited to finish, though, so I left it and read on.

Wasn't until I started reading posts on here just now that it clicked.


when i read this part, as with several other parts in this book and TGS last year, i didn't bother thinking much about it. it's been so long since i read the other books. i figured, those wacky forsaken are always killing each other, so this is just a minor detail...i realized they were talking about asmo when i was flipping through the glossary at the end

forgetting all that stuff did make these new books a little more interesting, i guess. like finding out galad is a whitecloak...totally forgot about that
