There wasn't a single woman that would help him with the seals because they thought it to risky; likely this was the result of the pattern's influence. If the women had helped the men with the seals then they also would have been subjected to the taint, which probably would have meant a much worse breaking of the world and possible total victory for the DO. That being said if they was a viable solution in using Callandor should not have the pattern have pushed all parties into that direction?
