I agree with Dan, and I can categorically say it is not because ToM followed "the superb" tGS.

And concede an ulterior motive: I know a lot of people think Sanderson can do nothing right when it comes to WoT, because whatever he is or isn't he's not RJ. I also know a lot of people who joined a website dedicated to the series, even borrowed SNs from the text, subsequently came to regard WoT as pedestrian, shallow and beneath them. I don't consider impressions of any new WoT book from either source objective, so I want to make sure that's not what I'm dealing with before I play Defender of the Fade. ;)
