Until Gawyn reunited with his mother I thought he might put all three on at once and try to kill Rand, but now that's obviously not going to happen.

He found out what he was facing (the men with the Bloodknife rings) after Elayne confronted him about his hatred of Rand. They are like blademaster swords to him. You are not suppose to survive meeting 1, he met 3 at once. I would wear them too.
