I just finished TOM, found it very readable, and like many, i was surprised to find myself actually enjoying the Perrin sections. I also liked the Moiraine rescue section, but would have really enjoyed seeing more of her afterwards.
The main gripe I had with the book was it did little - nothing - to releve my hunger to see more of Mat and Tuon together, some of the most enjoyable sections of the prior books for me.
I completely agree.
They were my favourite characters, and now she's a shadow of her former self, and he barely acknowledges she exists. Do you recall in some previous book that when Tuon was away, Mat actually missed her? Of course, he didn't like to admit it openly, but it was clear in his POVs. Now IIRC there's not even a hint of that.

The Seanchan are actually more worrisome to me than the DO.

What's the point of existing if the existence is a miserable one?

I agree. The Seanchan represent a world order based upon all the principles of evil.

Personally, I'm rooting for the Seanchan to take over Randland.
