and even our point of view is not an accurate depiction. The only reference we have to permanent death in T'A'R' is from the wolves. Wolves=/=humans, and, as DomA has stated above, they may be wrong as well.


Brigitte (and her mate?) say that if they die there it's permanent for them as well.


not that the soul would never be reborn, just that it would sever her connection to the horn and her soul would return to the "normal" human soul pool. From a hero of the horn's perspective that would be a "permanent" death because they would no longer be re-spun as the same hero. I don't think she meant, or would even be aware, that her death in tar would actually destroy her soul.


I don't think the arguments for either side are conclusive enough.
