For one thing, when RJ revealed that Rand is 6'7", I was blown away. That's a ridiculous height, especially given the general nutritional knowledge, etc, of the people. It also means that Egwene and many others are basically staring at his belt buckle all the time. Characters would actually complain about neck pains, or would stand really far back from him.


I know people around that height, and it's really not that bad. That said, I'm 6'2" myself and others might find it more unsettling.
