He'll probably get defeated in some way that was foreshadowed. He stayed off the scenes musing on his hatred of Lews Therin, and it would be fitting if he is killed during a moment when he is about to kill Rand and leaves his back exposed. It would be even more fitting if it was Mat, Moiraine, Logain, Narishma, Alanna or Aviendha who do the deed.


Sanderson said Demandred's secret identity would pay off big time.

And letting him come within a hair's breadth of succeeding - actually thinking that he HAS succeeded, until he finds out about the body switch, would fit his life story perfectly.

Always a photo finish away from beating the Dragon, according to RJ.
