Fain is going to do what Gollum did. He will kill the Dark One, somehow. Rand is for Demandred, who has been built up for 8 books to have this ultimate hate for the Dragon.


Well, Fain's hate for Rand was build since book 1. You can't honestly say that his hate less dramatic than Demandred's.

As for DO - that's not how Wheel of Time world works. You can't kill DO in this world.
