perhaps it's more a match between inborn abilities and acquired ones

He and Samitsu both have Talents for their respective specialties, but I'd still argue that Talents are inborn, whereas skill or proficiency is learned. Just like strength is inborn, but being able to do stuff with it is learned.
Perhaps a better thread would be inborn traits (eg strength or Talents), versus acquired traits (eg skill or knowledge). Instead of an arm wrestling match, it's more a match where one contestant was born strong and well-muscled, and the other contestant has been studying for years how to win arm wrestling matches on pure technique. Who would win? It's probably a toss-up.

Thanks. Guess I focused too much on the T'A'R portion of the fight. *NM*
