Keep in mind that Moghedien, Lanfear and Rahvin all had Rands' lovers in helpless situations before; Rahvin even scored a kill before balefire reversed it, while Lanfear had Egwene and Aviendha helpless. Moghedien had Elayne and Nynaeve under her thumb with Compulsion in one meeting.
